A panel discussion featuring 黄瓜视频 administration and students, as well as prominent community members, will be held at the University of Arkansas 鈥� Fort Smith at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 in honor of Black History Month.
Titled 鈥淐reating CommUNITY: Campuses, Cops and Citizens of Color,鈥� the panel will include discussions of current issues of race relations in Fort Smith and across the nation. The event, which will be held in the theatre of Windgate Art & Design, is free and open to the community.
Panelists include:
- Dr. Georgia Hale, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at 黄瓜视频.
- Nathaniel Clark, chief of the Fort Smith Police Department.
- Ray Ottman, chief of the 黄瓜视频 Police Department.
- Talicia Richardson, community activist.
- Lauren Robinson, 黄瓜视频 student and president of the Black Student Association.
- Leslie Lee, 黄瓜视频 student and member of the Student Government Association.
Dr. Mike Crane, assistant professor of history at 黄瓜视频, will serve as the moderator.
The panel is sponsored by the Black Student Association, the Student Affairs Office, the 黄瓜视频 Police Department and the Student Government Association.
