The dental hygiene program at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith will sponsor free afterschool clinics in the spring for children in the greater Fort Smith region.

The After School Smilz program will offer clinics from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, March 6 and April 3 at the Pendergraft Health Sciences Center on the 酴圖弝け campus, located at 715 N. Waldron Road. Preventive services offered by the clinic include a dental cleaning, X-rays, oral hygiene education, fluoride treatment, examination by a dentist, and sealants to prevent cavities.

The clinics are made possible through a $30,295 grant from the Blue & You Foundation to provide preventive dental services to children in the Fort Smith area.
